Steps to joining Troop 72

• Meet with our Scouts and Leaders! Visit Troop 72 on any Tuesday evening for a troop meeting. 

• Attend a New Family Orientation Night if one is coming up (T72 has two a year - each spring and fall).

• Complete a youth application (all Scouts must have a youth application submitted for T72 membership - even if the Scout is transferring from a Cub Scout Pack)

  • Online application at my.Scouting.org, if brand new to Scouting

  • Paper application if returning/continuing Scout - turn it into the Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, or Membership Coordinator

• Pay National dues - amount determined by National BSA (currently $80 per youth) plus the $25 new-member fee for National registration. Scouts crossing over from a Pack will not pay dues until November when the following year's dues is due. 

• Pay DBC dues to T72 - amount determined by Daniel Boone Council (currently $50 per youth)

• Complete the BSA Medical Form parts A & B (C will be required at a later date for any outings longer than 72 hours).

• Download and read the Family Orientation Guidebook below. Both Scouts and their parents/guardians should read through the orientation guide. 

• Begin attending meetings on Tuesday nights at the SUMC Scout House!
