I think the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy is a sci-fi, book and in the next 3 paragraphs I will be explaining why I think this. I also think that it is a comedy book because of the reasons in the next paragraph.

I think that it is comedy because it is real funny, especially the part where Zaphod Beeblbrox shows Arthur and Ford his 2nd head and they start screaming. The book shows lots of comedy where it be them using there words to be funny or their fists. There is lots of talking in the book and from my point of view most of it is pretty funny.

The characters in the book match sci-fi a lot, like the Vogons and Zaphod Beeblebrox. Arthur and Ford first meet the Vogons when earth gets destroyed and they got sent into a Vogon ship, Vogons found them and threw them out the ship. They met Zaphod when they got picked up randomly by the Heart of Gold while they were floating in space. In the book Arthur and Ford are mainly travelling in space and sometimes on planets just like Magrathea and Earth.
