Buildings and Grounds: The cleaning of our building is done by volunteers in our congregation. Our Building & Grounds Committee organizes Inside/Outside cleaning days and encourages volunteers to come in during the week to clean as they are able.
Christian Education: Opportunities available to enable people to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus, the Christ.
Sunday School: Sunday morning Christian education classes for all ages 4 through adult are available during the school year. Classes begin at 9:05 AM.
Confirmation: Confirmation education is in depth study of the 10 Commandments, Martin Luther, the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed, the Sacraments, and the Bible. It is offered for youth in seventh and eighth grades. Confirmation students completing the two-year program are given the opportunity to affirm their Baptismal covenant at a special Confirmation service on the last Sunday in April of their eighth grade year.
Confirmation Camp: During the summer following their sixth grade, students, who desire to participate in the Confirmation program at Trinity, attend the week of Confirmation Camp at Crossways Camping Ministries’ Imago Dei Village Camp.
Joy of Giving: Joy of Giving is a ministry of the congregation to give members opportunity to support outside ministries that are beyond our budgeted support
Library: The fabulous Library at Trinity is organized by the Library Committee and staffed on Sundays by volunteers. The resources available to people through the Library include: over 4400 books, 3 audio books, 391 videos, 96 music CD’s and 72 DVD’s.
MOSES: This is our Mission, Outreach, Stewardship, Evangelism, Service Committee. The members serving on this committee invite people to participate in one or more of the many service and fellowship opportunities organized throughout the year.
Music: People share their gifts in music to help lead us in worship:
Musicians: Individuals who play the organ, keyboard, or other musical instruments to lead the congregation in worship.
Alive! Band: Our musical group that utilizes keyboard, guitars, drums and vocals to lead people in worship during some Sunday morning worship services.
Adult Choir: People who love to sing and gather to practice on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM during the school year. They provide special music for worship on periodic basis. The choir is under the direction of Jen Rozga.
Angel Band: Children in pre-school through first grade practice songs each Sunday before Sunday School and sing at Sunday worship periodically during the school year.
Trinity Women ELCA: All women of Trinity are included and encouraged to participate in the ministry organized by the Women’s Board. This ministry includes: Quilting to make quilts for LWR, Collection and packing of LWR school kits and personal care kits, Funeral luncheons, Pie Booth at New London Fall Festival, Thankoffering worship, Thanksgiving pie social, Gift given at each baptism at Trinity, Baptismal towels for each baptism at Trinity, Baptismal banners for each baptism at Trinity, Christmas Outreach gifts, Blood Drive, Community Cupboard food drives.
Worship Ministry: People are involved in enabling worship at Trinity each week in one or more of the following opportunities:
Worship and Music Committee: meets the first Wednesday of each month to plan the details for the worship services throughout the year.
Altar Guild: A team that prepares the altar area for worship by changing the paraments, preparing Holy Communion for each worship service and various other duties. Each team serves for a month at a time.
Lector/Scripture Reader: Members of the congregation volunteer to read the Scripture reading for each worship service. People are scheduled on a rotating basis.
Ushers: Members of the congregation who welcome people to worship, provide the bulletins to the worshippers, receive the offering, and other general duties to enable the people to worship.
Worship Assistant: A member of the congregation who helps the pastor lead worship services by leading the Confession of Faith, the Prayers of the Church, receiving the Offering, and serving Holy Communion.
Holy Communion Assistant: Members of the congregation who help serve the bread or serve the wine during the distribution of Holy Communion during worship.
Acolytes: Confirmation youth who light the candles, place the Offering plates on the altar, help the pastor during Holy Baptism, extinguish the candles at the end of worship and lead us into the world.
Youth: The Youth Program of Trinity Lutheran Church provides activities from 5th to 12th grade that develop three areas in balance. a. Growing in faith and understanding of scripture b. Service to the Church and its mission of outreach to the world c. Fun and fellowship This is done in an atmosphere that helps young people to make a decision to follow Christ, and then provides Christian education that supports the development of their faith, and encourages action upon their faith.
* Steph Friebohle, Director of Youth Ministry I was born and raised in the small town of Warroad, Minnesota just 6 miles from the Canadian border. After high school, I attended the University of MN-Duluth where I graduated in 2001 with a B.A. in Teaching Communication Arts and Literature with minors in theatre and communications. Yes, I like to talk! We moved to Wisconsin in 2001 where I worked as a high school teacher in Hortonville until 2012. I am also an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. My husband, Ken, is an over-the-road truck driver for a company based in Grand Forks, ND. We have two daughters and two granddaughters that keep us busy and laughing on a daily basis.
