Membership & Programs
We welcome all districts in the tri-county area to join our GATE Council.
To fund our programs in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, we ask for annual dues of:
$100 for the district or school membership, OR
$75 for the homeschool pod membership and single-school district OR
$25 for the individual teacher or homeschool site membership.
An annual membership is active from August-June and allows you to join monthly meetings, register for GATEway to Leadership (middle school student conference), register for Colloquium (teacher/parent conference), and other opportunities throughout the school year.
All members of the Tri-County GATE council are volunteers, so the entirety of your dues support our GATE community.
To join TCGC, remit your dues and this invoice & W-9 to the address below, and please complete our Membership Survey.

TRI‐COUNTY GATE COUNCIL MEMBER BENEFITS:
Our programs, as listed below, are possible because of the generosity of community dues and volunteer service by our members.
Monthly Meetings: held virtually via Zoom on the second Thursday of each month, meetings focus on council business, GATE programming, and relevant topics within and across districts/schools. These meetings facilitate communication and collaboration across districts/schools to better support gifted students.
GATEway to Leadership Conference: for Tri-County 7th graders with leadership potential. The 24-25 conference will be held March 1st, 2025.
Grants: for teachers and students to pursue a passion project or share interests with the class or school community. Grant applications and guidelines are sent to GATE Coordinators each fall to be shared with staff and students in their district/site.
We Honor Our Own Luncheon and Distinguished Service Award: recognizes the talents and dedication of those in our community who go above and beyond to support our gifted and talented students. Nomination requests are sent to GATE Coordinators to be shared with staff and students in their district/site.
Colloquium: is a day-long best practices conference for educators and parents/guardians, held each spring. The conference features a keynote speaker and sessions from master teachers/practitioners of gifted education.
