The evolutional axis

In Astrology, birth charts count on a karmic axis, which is called evolutional axis too. It’s an imaginary line linking two signs of the Zodiac, more precisely two points that, in the perspective across the space, indicate areas of great magnetism, where the densest and the more ethereal energies find a way of passage to manifest themselves.

If interested in knowing which those signs are in a birth chart, we have to look at the Moon’s Nodes. And, according to the Hemisphere we were born in, one of those signs will be the rising sign for the luminary. Between July 27th of 2026 and March 27th of 2028, the karmic rising sign for the North Hemisphere of the planet will be in Leo, and for the South Hermisphere in Aquarius. 

Previously, the Nodes were emplaced in Virgo and Pisces, energies of science and fusion. Now, the Nodes’ transit in Leo and Aquarius manifests a karma of centralization and transmission, of nuclei and dispersion.

The changes of sign are important to everyone but, during this period, they’ll be even more if in the birth chart:

• the Sun and/or Uranus are in Leo or Aquarius;

• there’s a strong Sun-Uranus aspectation;

• the Sun and/or Uranus are next to the Rising Sign or in the cusps of the 4th, 7th or 10th Houses;

• there are great conjunctions in Leo and/or Aquarius;

• the chart’s Rising Sign or the very Lunar Nodes are emplaced in Leo or Aquarius

Anyway, the Nodes’ transits always bring energies of heavy density, and that density makes us feel its weight in several ways. For example: by going through experiences of great concretion, and also by going through experiences of great volatility, all across several life dimensions. Whether be in one way or the other, karma tends to remain fixated where the energy is not transformed, which may happen in the most mundane affairs as well as in the most subtle or ethereal ones. For more accuracy, people should look at those birth chart’s Houses where Leo and Aquarius are, and then observe how the karmic density of the transit is expressed. 

The Moon's rising sign

In a birth chart, it’s called the North Node. Its sign is that of the karmic projections, of those energies manifested as effects. Its causes are indicated by the sign of the South Node, the zodiacal opposite.

On this occasion, the karmic effects experienced in the North Hemisphere of the planet will be the compass to set, both there and in other places, the way to distribute, diversify and transmit energy currents.

The effects in the North H. will be mostly expressed through each domestic act, in daily relationships and in the way to become functional in rutines and tasks. Starting from there, Leo’s karma will set strategies and, the most important thing, an order and control over the environment or system around.

The North Node in Leo during the period 2026-28 will also bring many ties, agreements and unions. It’ll create and display attractive-bright references while installing great presences, such as the planets find in the Sun a reference to revolve. However, Leo’s classic centrality won’t be total, and won’t set definite horizons either, yet. It’ll be a karma of encounters, of personal influences and of common designs projected with some goal in mind.

About the South Hemisphere, the North Node will be in Aquarius there. That region of the planet will give an evolutional continuity to the karma of the North H. Because the Zodiac is expressed as polar axes, that continuity will be the counterweight for the centrality and domain that will predominate in the North H. Aquarius’ karma will bring diversity, especially in love relationships, in exchanges and in the way to set how each tie or association finds its own normatives.

The karma of the water carrier will also bring great changes and instability in the way of perceiving, thinking and observing. Those changes will be especially noticed in the most private and less visible spheres, and will disseminate the energy regarding future times, even beyond the personal circumstances. The karma in the South H. could change the ways to leave legacies and receive inheritances, and that tendency will finally produce effects in the North Hemisphere, specifically in all related to goods, economics and physical resources.

Main tendencies and estimated dates

Changes in personal expression

During these years, Uranus in Gemini especially turns dynamic and changes the most visible or outer forms, as well as the ways to start personal communications. Until October 17th of 2026, instability and frequent alterations in the minds will probably avoid making a choice between opposite tendencies, in a kind of bid for concentrating or dispersing the energy.

Each person, in society

It’d be better to broaden the view, trying to reach those times and ongoing processes that have been in course since several decades before. Especially from June 05th of 2027 until March 10th of 2028, changes in basic ideas and in the incipient game with variables will frequently set free what remains fixated, making the most resistant forms flexible. If the mental disposition turns more plastic, it’ll be easier to give away or go through dispersions, during struggles in which it might not be possible to identify winners and losers (if any). Dispersion will be a karmic tendency, in times of very low absorption of wealth and power. Hidden forces will be deconcentrated, and so they’ll be extended with the eyes focused on a rather distant future.

Physical vitality and control

Regarding these subjects, the annual moments when the Sun be in Leo and Aquarius will be the most important ones, and even more when the star be aligned with the Lunar Nodes. Each of those moments will last almost two weeks, bringing brief although very important chances from a karmic point of view.

From August 16th to 29th of 2026, the vitality could be weakened. The causes will come from the past: some (de)limitations will be conditioning the incipient forms of the energy, and those forms will still be far from reaching matureness. Ties and commitments deriving from them won’t be convenient, even if they offer harmonic relationships, exchanges or “fair” agreements.

From February 03rd to 15th of 2027, finding echoes with other people and the natural environment will be a vital factor to set a balance between what comes in and what is transmited. Those resonances will be stronger than the average, and freedom will be more important than the tendency to concentrate and dominate. The sounds, in a broad sense, will be a very good mean to stay in tune with the vital energy all around and, maybe, to even leave aside control, at least for a moment. However, among mutual currents, and taking the chance of the opening to the outside world, some approaching initiatives could exert some kind of power that would end up annulling the personal expression.

From July 28th to August 10th of 2027, a brief period will be great to attract and stay surrounded by people in tune, in the mind and heart. Making use of the personal dynamics and starting straight communications in relationships, don’t hesitate in taking the initiative to start dialogues and push things towards the own field. Although the results won’t be exponential, the increment of vitality will stimulate the circulation, the general balance and the articulations, in all sense.

From January 16th to 29th of 2028, the stars will bring almost two weeks to reach massiveness, inside and outside. In groups and communities, the voice will reach them all. In the body, the absorption of energy will be at is peak, with potentiated effects. And, if interested in concentrating instead of sharing, a great amount of magnetism will allow redirecting and refocusing. For that purpose, thoughts will be unblocked and any mental blocking will be removed. Besides, the relation between the body and the environment will be the best possible one, and both will know how to get benefits from each other.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and life abundance and, until the Lunar Nodes’ transit in Leo-Aquarius evolutional axis end, will have a variable influence regarding lunar karma.

From October 12th of 2026 until June 01st of 2027, the planet will be next to the Lunar Node in Leo! By the end of July 2027, Jupiter will ingress into Virgo, the sign of the mind and logics. By that time, the action focus of the planet will change from the most personalistic or self-referring ways to broader subjects, for example the growth and expansion of social systems, and of the functioning inside of different groups or communities, considered as a whole. The change of sign in the astral energy could bring some complications at the time of finding compatibility between innovative-dynamic-personal impulses and more extended-social orders. Especially between August 08th and October 12th of 2027, the keywords to meditate on will be individuality and community.

Basically, the tension will happen between, on one hand, the instability coming along with some intermittent changes in perspectives and ideas and, on the other hand, those orders and systems needing stable ways to function according to some predictable logic, this way producing benefits and utilities. Anyway, by the end of 2027, and especially during January 2028, those norms meant for designing that kind of functioning will hear at a greater degree the echoes of the diverse tendencies and needs raised by the Lunar Node in Aquarius. By that time, the strict logics and orderings might have already decreased, and the astral tendency will point again to Leo as the main sign for all related to karmic subjects, which will increase centrality, direction and domain.
