Karma in Astrology always refers to two signs, at least: the sign of the causes and the sign of the effects, both past and future. Those signs are indicated by the Moon’s nodes, two areas where the satellite and the Earth are magnetically in contact, pointing to a zodiacal opposition. They describe birth karma, mostly expressed by their rulers in the birth chart.

The nodes, also called karmic or evolutional axis, are aligned to each zodiacal opposition during one year and a half, approximately. And on January 11 th 2025, they’ll be aligned to Virgo–Pisces opposition: people born in the Northern Hemisphere will have karmic causes from Virgo, and those born in the Southern Hemisphere will have karmic causes from Pisces.

Virgo & Pisces

The mentioned nodes don’t just indicate new born babies’ karma but also the karma in interaction with the own birth chart. Next, you may read about the main astral tendencies of a karmic origin between January 11 th 2025 and July 27 th 2026, which will be especially intensified during the second semester 2025. 

• Moments of concentrated study, observation at different scales and rationalization, in search for greater discernment, understanding or knowledge. Moments of great calmness and abstraction, letting go highly dense circumstances.

• Categorizations and iterated classifications, rational criticism, comparisons and changes in functions. Big uncertainty, nebulae, suggestion, confusion, and situations, people and objects becoming uncatchable.

• Cold distanced observation, analysis and logical understanding of actions, feelings and thoughts. Passions and loves quite hard to be controlled, overflowing the circumstances and taking with them many life situations.

• Interest in mental and practical skills, precognition, and mechanisms, techniques and methods of systematic application, consensually approved. Deep interest in trascendental subjects, meditation, exercises of physical and mental relax, and development of extra-sensory perception.

• Focus on details, utilities and perfectionism in any activity or developed form. Fitting in and instant adaptation to requirements, needs and ways coming from the environment.

Karma from Virgo–Pisces will combine all of these opposite characteristics at different degrees, creating quite profused, changing and temporary concrete ways. Virgo will evoke mental skills in groups, and will gather them inside of a single functioning, as they share or are part of a same mental scheme. Whereas Pisces will provide permeability and empathy to keep the whole group united inside, blurring differences and acquiring the corresponding appearance to each.

In brief words, Virgo will bring perfect forms and Pisces will bring all the appearances for those forms. In each Hemisphere, and on every birth chart, some of the two poles of karma will have more weight than the other, thus will point to specific tendencies and activities to consider or focus on.

Karma: where and how

One of the planets that will express karma the most during January 2025 – July 2026 will be the small and agile Mercury, the closest one to the Sun, ruler of Virgo. In Astrology, it represents rational thinking, intellect, words, papers, communication, and all related to those activities, for example the media, roads and places to study. 

Mercury on the birth chart indicates frequent changes in consciousness, hinges on the path and the new road ahead after each hinge, especially by setting foundational ideas. Consciousness is always active, except during dreamtime. Thus the planet rules profuse activities that hardly take a break. Even silent and quiet meditation, as a periodic and iterated activity, is the perfect synthesis of Virgo–Pisces as a couple.

During this karmic period, Mercury will be highly involved in keeping consciousness inside of understandable parameters. Because some experiments and discoverings will bring unusual and unexpected changes in perception, introducing new knowledge that will have to be incorporated… Expect for formulations and reformulations in boom.

Contrary to conscious perception, the realm of dreams belongs to Neptune’s domains, the other planet of karma, of great relevance during the transit of the nodes, since it rules Pisces. The planet orbits in between Uranus and Pluto, which in Astrology rule electricity on Earth and the other side, respectively. Neptune rules psychic and medium practices, extra-sensory perception, masters the usage of astral energies, and dissolves karma and the most concrete forms.

On the birth chart, the planet is the great mystic connection between vital breath and the world, before birth time. Even if it doesn’t seem so, Neptune is the one allowing it all because is the pathway to be manifested through the entire Zodiac. Such as Mercury sees, knows and then makes a path to walk through, Neptune is the planet foreseeing the path. So its intention emerges and remains still with no effort at all, from the beginning until the end, as a continous thread extended all over the intermmediate phases. In esoterism, it rules the will beyond this world and, like Mercury, is in charge of communication although in non-physical dimensions. Its actioning, unspecific, is practically unapproachable, undetectable, uncontrollable.

Neptune in Aries

Neptune has one of the most long orbital cycles over time. And on March 2025 it will transit Aries, where will remain until May 21 st 2038. The transit of almost 13 years will provide the key karmic note for the next evolutional axis in Virgo–Pisces, combining what is fathomless and undefinite with what is clear and accurate. (The same combination Neptune in Aries – Moon’s Nodes will take place again between 06.05.34 and 11.30.35).

Neptune’s karma on Earth will be expressed as an almost unavoidable force. Although not by taking plain and straight actions. There might be a lack of initative and courage, and the arms might be thrown down before going into battles. These tendencies will be just some of the effects of karmic Neptune in the sign of the conquerors, individuality and the opening of pathways.

This type of karma won’t be measured by scales or noticed by using traditional logics. If interested in perceiving Pisces’ karma, as a cause or effect, place the focus out of yourself and avoid any concentration that  lead the perception towards close, temporary or individual affairs.

Neptune in Aries will disolve a lot of karma created since the present time. And it will also decrease initiatives, specific daily life interests and many launchings for the future. The roots of this type of karma are in the stars, not in the mundane life, and it won’t be a single way on Earth to enter that field and transmute the energy except, of course, by going through Neptune’s own ways.

New born babies’ karma

The almost endless, changing and profuse ways of Virgo, Pisces and their rulers, will basically show a persisting and constant tone, undefinite in terms of concrete intentions. Of mysterious origin, it won’t be easily understood, even though the minds will go in circles more than the usual withouth reaching the own nucleus or karmic roots, anyway. That tone will be the karma of Virgo–Pisces between January 2025 and July 2026.

People born during this period, and especially between 06.10.25 and 06.30.26, will be truly representatives of this type of karma, one very hard to be noticed and understood by other people.

They’ll express an ancient karma, quite unrelated to their current life situations. With great influence on their own lives and other people’s lives, at will, they’ll dissolve present time densities like great liberators, mostly in daily and individual experiences. Another karmic characteristic will be a great enthusiasm for life itself and, at the same time, a great disinterest in mundane staff! Their birth charts will show unexplainable combinations from Virgo’s point of view, the rational one of the Zodiac. They would provide the distinctive and specific note of each person, in a detailed study of the causes at birth, the effects from the past for the future, and the particular taste for life they’ll display as years pass by.

About karma

An atheistic perspective about the subject considers there’s no predefinite destiny, or gifts or leassons to learn. Out of the perspective are obligations, tests, loads, inforcement, condemns, prohibitions or “being called to”, since they’re all cultural parameters not related to human karma. A vital perspective on the subject considers dense-subtle matter in any of its dimmensions as a parameter across a gradient, as well as the strenght of desire as the vitalizing key factor that pours astral energy on it. From this point of view, all is karma and all is transformed as time passes by, free will is active and cellular regeneration takes place in the physical body. Once the astral energy is removed, then the actions and reactions in the world and the body cease, until innert matter goes into processes of decomposition, and physical rests are left (lunar rests).
