Candieas is currently a Ph.D. Candidate with an emphasis in quantitative methods in the social sciences at UC Santa Barbara and a Research Fellow at the Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies. He earned his bachelor's degrees in international relations and history with a minor in education from UC Davis. Candieas also holds his master's degree in education policy & leadership from UC Santa Barbara.
