Research Subcommittee

Research is an important function of the Transportation Research Board and each TRB committee is tasked with identifying, developing, and disseminating research needs related to their committee.  

The research subcommittee promotes Road Weather Research through the following activities:

• Creating and reviewing  Research Needs Statements (RNS) for the TRB RNS database (https://rns.trb.org/ )

• Identifying and communicating funding opportunities for Road Weather research

• Providing information about available data and research tools to improve the state-of-the-practice for Road Weather research

Any committee member or friend of the committee can be a member of the Research Subcommittee.
