Scope of AKR50 Committee:

Provide a forum promoting the exchange of information on the effects of weather on surface transportation both within and between the transportation and meteorological communities. The committee’s objective is to shape future research and technology transfer to further understand road weather, with the ultimate goal of minimizing the impacts of weather on the surface transportation system, especially with respect to safety and mobility.
