Mia Larned
Mia is passionate about sustainability and eager to start a career that includes combatting climate change and promoting water conservation. She conducts undergraduate research on turbidity in the Hydro-Systems Lab and interns at Bell Engineering, where she is gaining hands-on experience in water and wastewater.
Z Uruakpa
Z is on the premed track, specifically concentrating on the biomedical engineering aspects of the field. He is driven to combine engineering design principles with a deep understanding of human physiology to develop next-generation medical devices and solutions
Jilly Fortwengler
Jilly is focused on Water Resources engineering and providing clean water solutions. Previously, she has worked on water sampling and sediment transport within the Hydro-Systems lab. Through her internship experiences she has used GIS and water modeling software for water treatment plants.
Pat Faust
Pat is on the bioenvironmental specialization track. He is also completing a certificate program in environmental engineering, and he is pursuing graduate school next year. He is driven by his work ethic and discipline that he has gained through his experiences as a University of Kentucky student-athlete.
