An important part of the content in our book will emerge from workshops and conversations with other transnational academics from the global south. In these dialogues, we will address questions such as "What would have you wished to know before starting the academic career?, What knowledges have you brought from home that helped you to navigate academia?, How did you navigate personal life changes while you were studying?, among others questions.
Inspired by feminist women of colour, particularly the book "This bridge called my back" (Moraga & Anzaldua, 1981), we noticed the power of co-constructing knowledge and sharing in a way that trascend the classical academic language.
Our book will contain essays, poems, letters, and drawings, which will serve as devices to capture in a more holistic way the value of all the knowledges treasured by transnational academics.
If this book project resonates with you and you feel like getting involved, we would love to hear from you.
