One of the main reasons for embarking on this journey is our deep love for the Superior Forests and the meaning they hold in our lives (you can read more about this in our blog). Each of us — Ryan, Owen, Noah, Zach, and Larry — has been fortunate to have access to the gear, guidance, and opportunities needed to build our outdoor skills. We also know firsthand how places like the Boundary Waters can shape personal growth and deepen our connection to the land.
These landscapes are facing real threats, from mining to climate change, and protecting them is more important than ever. At the same time, we recognize that not everyone has the means or experience to visit and learn from wild places like this. That’s why we’re asking for support for Friends of the Boundary Waters, an organization that helps protect these cherished lands while working to make them more accessible to everyone.
Friends of the Boundary Waters: "Our mission is to protect the Boundary Waters and to connect people of all backgrounds to the wilderness, so that this and future generations benefit from this special place."
