Get a Good Night's Sleep Before Camp!
How the List is Made!
This is by no means a comprehensive list. This is instead a compilation of some of my favorite activities as well as activitites I have heard good things about from other scouts.
Polar Bear Plunge
Three times a week in the early morning (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), join other scouts in the troop for the Polar Bear Plunge by going down to the pool and jumping into the lukewarm water to earn the Polar Bear patch. It's really fun to play around with friends for about 30 minutes! Brrr!
Ajapeu Scavenger Hunt
Take part in a themed and complicated week-long scavenger hunt! Last year there were two victors, a team as well as some kid who did it all by himself, proving that it's possible for the first time in camp history. Can a team from Troop 1100 win this year?
Ockanickon Rodeo
In keeping with this year's theme, Ockanickon is hosting a rodeo on Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:15. See ya there y'all!
Chess Tournament
Join us on Wednesday evening for an impressive display of intellectual skill at the Ockanickon Chess Tournament! Does Troop 1100 have what it takes to win enough games before the clock runs out?
Themed Days: Western Wednesday and Tropical Shirt Thursday
Howdy and Aloha! Join us in Cowboy hats 'n' boots on Wednesday and chill Hawaiian shirts on Thursday. See y'all when the surf's up!
Swampday Battleship
As Dan the Lake Man would say: "SWAMP DAY!!!" as he floods his kayak in the Great Buck Lake.
Volleyball Tournament
Every year Troop 1100 attempts to win the volleyball tournament, often submitting 2 to 3 teams. Of course, we are definitely going to win this year. Form a team of 6 with your friends and talk to the SPL on Monday for the tournament which is held on Thursday evening.
Photography Competition
From Sunday to Wednesday, snap the finest photos to be featured and win the photography competition!
Religious Services
At Ockanickon there are 3 campwide religious services. On Wednesday there is a Christian Service and an Interfaith Service. On Friday there is a Jewish Shabbat Service. Please be respectful of those with different faiths.
