Welcome to TraceAI. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS mobile application to track grooming progress, face scans, routines, and visual changes over time.
TraceAI is designed for personal progress tracking. It is not a medical product and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Voluntarily Provided Data: We may collect your display name during onboarding. If you choose to link an email, Google, or Apple account, we may collect your email address and basic profile information associated with that sign-in method. If you contact our support team, we may collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message.
Face Photos and Scan Data: When you take or upload a progress photo, the image is stored on our secure cloud infrastructure so we can process your scan, show before/after comparisons, and track changes over time. We also store scan results such as progress scores, suggested routines, and related metadata linked to your account.
Routine and Usage Data: We collect information you create in the app, including your active grooming routine, checklist completions, streaks, scan cadence preferences, and focus areas selected during onboarding.
Automatically Collected Data: We collect standard technical information, such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and basic usage events to help us fix bugs, improve performance, and understand how TraceAI is used.
On-Device Processing: To help you take consistent progress photos, TraceAI may use on-device face detection and lighting checks during capture. This processing happens on your device to guide alignment and is not used to identify you outside the capture flow.
We use your information to:
Provide guided face capture, scan processing, and progress tracking features
Store your photos, scores, routines, streaks, and timeline history
Process subscriptions and restore purchases
Improve app stability, performance, and user experience
Respond to support requests
Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your photos or scan results to publicly rank attractiveness or compare you against other users.
TraceAI offers premium access through in-app subscriptions.
Third-Party Processors: All financial transactions are processed securely through the Apple App Store. Subscription status may also be verified through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.
No Financial Access: We do not collect, see, or store your credit card numbers or billing addresses. We only receive confirmation from Apple and our subscription provider that a purchase, renewal, or cancellation occurred.
Subscription Options: TraceAI may offer plans such as weekly and yearly subscriptions. Pricing is shown in the app and in App Store Connect at the time of purchase.
Your face photos may be processed on secure cloud servers to generate visual progress scores and suggested routine items. AI processing is performed server-side; provider API credentials are not stored in the app on your device.
Scan outputs are intended for personal visual progress tracking only. They are not medical assessments.
We do not sell your personal data. To provide a functional app experience, we may share limited data with the following types of service providers:
Analytics and Diagnostics: We use services such as Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes.
Cloud Infrastructure: Your account data, photos, and scan results are stored and processed using Google Firebase and related cloud infrastructure (including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, and Cloud Functions).
Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and restore purchases.
Authentication Providers: If you choose to link an account, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or email authentication may be handled by Firebase Authentication and the relevant provider.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of TraceAI, our users, or others.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide TraceAI’s services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the app or by contacting us. Some information may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
Regardless of your location, you may have the right to access, update, export, or delete the information we hold about you, subject to applicable law.
You can manage some information directly in the app, including your display name and routine data. For account deletion or other privacy requests, contact us using the email below.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, you may also have additional rights such as the right to object to certain processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
TraceAI is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls on our cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure your data receives appropriate protection in line with this Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of TraceAI after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
