Hi Everyone!!

It would be GREAT if we could do a choir performance from home... it's PROJECT TIME!!!

Let's Make a Virtual Choir!!

Step 1: Learn the Song:
Look for the Silver Lining/Tomorrow (medley)

🎵 Listen to the track and follow along with the lyrics. Learn it off by heart 🎵


Turra3/4/5/6 will all sing the 2nd half of the medley: Tomorrow.


If you would like to audition to sing part of Look for the Silver Lining, you absolutely can! Just make sure you record that part of the song too :)

AFTER you know the song really, really well, keep practising it some more!

Step 2: Practise with Miss Strahle conducting:

Step 3: Make a Video Recording
(Follow the conducting video while you're recording
to get your cutoffs in all the right places!)


Before the recording:

  • Make sure you know the song really well

  • Get organised with 2 devices - one device for playing the conducting recording (using your earphones) and the other device to record yourself with!

  • Choose a good spot to record. It’d be good if you were standing with the camera at your eye level, and it’d be great to see all of your face!

  • Check what the lighting looks like, make sure it’s not too dark and that the camera can see you face well

  • Let your family know you’re recording and turn off any background noises

  • Please wear your winter school uniform (no jackets)


Recording Time:

  • Get your 2 devices set up ready to go - one device for playing the conducting recording (using your earphones) and the other device to record yourself with!

  • You MUST use headphones to singalong with the track

  • Record in landscape view (sideways)

  • PLEASE STAND UP to record (you'll sing much better when you're standing)

  • Start recording a few seconds BEFORE the music starts

  • Keep recording for another 5 seconds AFTER the music finishes

  • You need to singalong with the track – watch the screen for your cut-offs

  • Don’t add any sound effects or video effects please

  • Remember to SMILE and look at the camera

  • AFTER you finish singing, wave to the camera until after the music stops

  • PS – it’s ok to make mistakes, just try your best and have some fun!!


After the recording:

  • Do NOT edit the video, please send it with the extra time at the beginning and end of the song

Step 5: Upload it!

Send your video recording to Miss Strahle by MONDAY 13 SEPTEMBER (Week 10)
