【 April meeting 4/20/2024 】
新入会員会員含むクラブメンバー全員とシカゴからのレギュラーゲストを迎えて、新たなシーズンをにぎやかに楽しく開始しました。
The regular meeting was held from 14:00 to 16:30 with 10members and a from Chicago.
The word of the day was "undervalue" and "overvalue". Examples were introduced by Word master and members made efforts to use them repeatedly.
⋆The Table Topics Session (2-minute impromptu speeches) was focusing on the theme of April, with questions related to school. Topics included memories of entrance ceremonies, favorite subjects, disliked subjects, school lunch menus, games, and school seat rearrangement. It was a lively atmosphere.
⋆Prepared Speech Session: The titles were "I and English" "The Power to Control the World," and "Road to the Speech Contest."
⋆ Evaluation Session: Evaluators mentioned three good points and points for improvement in the speeches.
Thanks to everyone's cooperation, the energetic and enjoyable April meeting with full attendance has concluded. Awesome!

【 March meeting 3/16/2024 】
We held our regular monthly meeting on March 16th and three club members delivered prepared speeches.
The 1st speech was about the need for investing money so that we can afford to eat cookies in our old age, 2nd speech was about the Toast Master Area Director role, but in the end moving speech about the power of music was voted as the winning speech of the day.
The Table Topics theme was questions centered around giving valuable advice. The worthy winner of the Table Topics impromptu speeches was one of our guests of the day from Tokyo.
At the end of the meeting we were very pleased to hear from 2nd time visitor that she would like to join our club as a new member. We look forward to hearing her speeches and having her in the audience when we make our speeches. Yumi, welcome to the Toyota Friendship Toastmasters Club.

Toyota Friendship Toastmasters club was founded in Toyota-city, Aichi in 2002 to improve speech and leadership skills in English. We have regular monthly meetings and various other activities to strengthen the relationships among the members. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 364,000 in more than 16,200 clubs in 145 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders. In Japan, more than 200 clubs are active now. Many of them conduct their meetings in English, but some clubs use other languages such as Japanese, Chinese, French, and so on.
