Album cover for The Quiet
THE QUIET is the fourth full length album by Tower 17, released on May 30th, 2020. It was the first Tower 17 album to be under an hour long, running a total of 56:51 across eleven tracks.
After the previous two albums had so much effort being put into their lyrical concepts, The Quiet was written with the intent of NOT being a concept album. As such, the songs cover a variety of topics, from an anxiety ridden ode to love ("Run Away to You"), to a condemnation of toxic Nice Guys ("Ophelia"), to a folk-punk song about the struggles of being undocumented in the US ("This Is Home").
Multiple songs also truly began a biblically-inspired apocalyptic style of lyricism, specifically for some of the more metal-tinged songs on the record.
