The album cover for A Difficult Endeavor
A DIFFICULT ENDEAVOR is the second full length album released by Tower 17, on August 22nd 2017. It is, so far, the longest Tower 17 album at nearly seventy-three minutes, and was written and recorded alongside Snankplo, which was released three months later.
The album is a concept album, focusing all of its lyrical content on the mental state and perspective of Levon himself. While some songs (Like the title track) tell a vague story of a life experience, others (Like "White Lies") are far more abstract in their purpose.
The album features two external contributions, both on the title track. While the first of the three guitar solos is played by Levon, the second is by Gabe Gonzales, and the third is by Matt Myatt. This was done due to Levon having been in bands with each of them before recording the first Tower 17 album.
The album also contains the longest Tower 17 song to date, "2010", which runs over nine and a half minutes and is split into three movements.
