This site was initially designed as a portfolio for the M.Ed program in Learning Design and Technology at North Carolina State University.

It has since become a repository of work product.

My teaching mission is to empower learners (youth and educators) with skills and strategies for connecting with others to share and critique ideas with civility and compassion. As a former broadcaster and English as a Second Language teacher, communication has always been a central function of living in communities, both online and face-to-face. I hope to facilitate learning opportunities to exchange understandings among one another, which now extends to a linguistically and culturally diverse society. As an Instructional Technology Facilitator, I want our students and educators to have broader experiences around community issues that resonate locally while also impacting larger communities.
