Coming from a galaxy out of this world, Plectu and his band of cosmic performers are here to bring Earth a taste of music from beyond the stars! Found in the former location of Stitch’s Great Escape, this Audio-Animatronic show is a modern take on the format of many classic Disney attractions like The Enchanted Tiki Room and The Country Bear Jamboree.
Guests enter the show building, which has been overhauled to look like a landed spaceship, and find themselves in a makeshift lobby. Photos of Plectuc and his crew can be found showing their many adventures across the universe, playing in locations real and imagined. Earth is their latest stop in their tour, and it’s also a semi permanent one- details in the lobby clue guests in that the space is damaged and can’t leave until it’s fixed. Luckily, performing for Earthlings is a great way to raise funds!
Entering the theater, which is larger and reversed from the previous CircleVision theater, guests walk towards the center of the room and take seats. As the show begins, guests find that they’re on a turntable that rotates! Throughout the show, the seats rotate to face different sections of the stage, creating a unique experience from other AA shows. The stage has four sections, each with a small seating area in between with an AA alien crowd- including cameos from past Tomorrowland attractions!
Characters guests meet include Plectu, the plucky and optimistic leader. He’s the host with the most, and he’s so excited to show guests the best the galaxy has to offer… or, rather, the ones who showed up. Plectu himself also performs in the show. Then there’s Scelarance, Plectu’s right hand alien and the stage manager. He’s a busy body who tries to make sure the show runs perfectly… emphasis on tries.
Other performers include Miss Stella Nova, galactic jazz singer who can carry a sharp note as well as she can showcase her sharp wit. She’s backed up by Grayson, a little gray man who rocks the Flaxofone- an instrument whose relation to the saxophone is purely coincidental.
There’s Baer E. Town, a bombastic and dramatic toad-like alien who is classically trained in the art of Arepo singing (backwards opera). His horns even act is instruments for his act! Next we have Luna and Astrid, who prove that two heads is better than one. Sharing one body, four arms, and two completely different tastes in music, the sisters duel classical vs metal before coming together in harmony.
Martian Marc is here too, a fuzzy green fluffball playing the fantastic galactic U.F.Organ. He might not speak much, but his music is otherworldly! Last but not least there’s Connie Ductor and her amazing singing Gleeples! Connie is a robot who’s trained the little alien Gleeples to sing in a choir. There’s Gleek and Gleb and Gled and Gred and a Gleeple named Glennessee- and little Gloscar, of course!
During the show, the aliens are heckled by an extra-terror-estrial who may be familiar to some. He may seem tough, but he’s just a critic! In the AA crowd, guests can also see characters from Tomorrowland’s past like Tom Morrow, Skippy, the Timekeeper, and even Stitch, all making silent cameos.
Once each performer does their own act, they all come together in the end to play together in harmony- and even the heckler can’t help but join in the fun. Once the show is over, guests exit into Concert Hall Collections, a futuristic music hall that Plectu’s ship nearly landed on (just close enough that they’re connected).
