Down to Earth: A WALL-E Experience
Down to Earth: A WALL-E Experience
This is a special, animatronic-based M&G experience using an evolution of the animatronic WALL-E previously tested by Pixar in the “Pixar in Real Life” series. WALL-E comes out from the deck of his barge home, with you also being able to see a small figure of Hal the cockroach nearby, standing on top of a pile of garbage cubes that contain nods to extinct attractions. WALL-E is able to speak, move his eyes around, hold things (including a pen for autographs), hug, and even speed up his movement to get to the visitors faster. Every hour, he will sing “Down to Earth”, with the cast members singing along, encouraging the visitors to also sing alongside a certain special guest. You can also notice EVE as a video screen feed, and she too has some interaction with guests similar to Turtle Talk with Crush.
And that special guest is none other than Push the Talking Trash Can, who seems like a normal garbage can until he breaks out into “Down to Earth”. If you do keep pushing, he sometimes will also comment or sing, much like how he used to. “One Little Spark”, “Miracles from Molecules”, “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow”, “We Are One”, & “The Rainbow Connection” are among Push’s musical lineup.
Before meeting WALL-E, there is a short walkthrough experience in WALL-E’s house, with clips from Hello, Dolly! playing on the TV, and shelves covered in pieces of defunct rides, vintage merch, cast member attire, concept art, and much more. For example, a copy of Megaman X4 can be seen near a PlayStation, a slight nod to his romantic desires. You can also see a Pizza Planet truck outside.
