This project is led by Dr. Carla Hurt and Dr. Shawn Krosnick to help Tennessee beekeepers better understand the plants represented in their honey.
Our goal is to make DNA-based floral analysis accessible to beekeepers, educators, and local beekeeping communities while generating useful information about Tennessee forage landscapes.
This project is supported by HoneyBee Tennessee, which is subsidizing sample analysis for Tennessee beekeepers.
HoneyBee Tennessee describes its mission as education-focused and offers grant support for bee programs in schools and educational facilities.
