The Nighthawk Imperium's role models, the Royal Guard serve as contingents of the High Command to ensure their protection. Only the most loyal, dedicated, and disciplined soldiers will ever be given the prestigious title of Royal Guard. Armed with various tools to help protect their leaders, the Royal Guard will not hesitate to take any measures in keeping the High Command safe.

As a group that contains some of the most talented and admired people within the Imperium, The Royal Guard possesses a strict process of entry. To be qualified for entry, a person must be a Corporal+ who is disciplined, skilled in combat, and good at communicating in addition to having other important traits. Potential RG will either be noticed by attending Observational Tryouts or they will be handpicked. Before being invited to the Aspirant program, candidates will also undergo a strict background check. Upon being invited to the Aspirant program, individuals will be trained and evaluated by RG officers to prepare them for possible future ascension to the rank of trial.
