In the last activity, we looked at how to escape your home in the event of a fire. But where to go once you're out?
Today, we will look at a safe place where your whole whānau will meet, if you have to escape your home.
Watch the video to learn:
What a safe meeting place is
Why it is important that it is close to the road
What happens when you get to your safe meeting place
Do NOT go back into the house! It is NOT safe!
We will be there soon and we have special clothes and a breathing mask that protect us from the heat and the smoke.
Get your whole whānau together and decide on a safe meeting place for your home. Then, practise getting out (through different doors and windows) and meet at the place that you have decided on.
CREATE ACTIVITY
