I completed my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Tezpur University. My postdoctoral research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying toxin-induced liver and biliary diseases, with particular emphasis on identifying biomarkers and therapeutic targets
Participated in the five days Faculty Development Programme on “Computational genomics: Path to precision genomics” from 24th-28th March, 2025, co-organized by IIIT Hyderabad and Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.
Attended workshop on “Exome Sequencing and “Introduction to Spatial Omics at the International Genomic Analysis and Technology Conference (GATC) from 4th-6th April, 2025, organized by IISER Pune
Participated in poster presentation on “Injury and recovery response in drug induced biliary damage” at GATC from 4th-6th April, 2025, organized by IISER Pune.
Presented an invited talk on “Role of environmental toxin in biliary atresia” at IIT Guwahati on 5th June, 2025.

I completed my master’s in biotechnology from Mizoram University. My doctoral research focuses on developing a low-cost, mechanical approach to generate stem-like cells from human urine-derived epithelial cells and to differentiate them into functional bile canaliculi-forming hepatocytes. These cells will then be used for drug testing and disease modelling.
Attended a five-day online short-term program on Recent Advances in Biomedical Signal & Image Processing from 23rd to 27th February,2026, organised by the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
Participated in the CeNSE Winter School on Semiconductor Technology, conducted online by the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering, IISc, Bengaluru from 8th to 19th December 2025.
Participated in the Indian BioImaging- IIT Guwahati Microscopy and Image Analysis Training Course 2026, held at IIT Guwahati, India from June 8-12, 2026.
Participated at Switzerland's Image and Data Analysis School (ZIDAS) 2026, held at EPFL, Switzerland from July 5-10, 2026
