How to Collect your Teaching and Learning Day Fall 2021 Micro-credential

This badge is awarded to participants in the Fall 2021 Teaching & Learning Day conference for incorporating key ideas and concepts from the sessions into their teaching practice.

Participate in the event:

1. Attend the day’s events on October 25th, 2021:

   • the morning discussion "Working Together Toward a More Virtual Seneca"

   • the afternoon workshops

2. Write a reflection summarizing an idea you found the most critical to defining a more virtual Seneca, and one practical next step to support your teaching practice in a more virtual Seneca.

3. Comment on a key takeaway from one of the afternoon workshops and the impact on your teaching.

Apply for the badge:

1. Follow the link to the badge application form.

2. Enter your name and Seneca email address.

3. Upload your reflections:

   • the reflection (approximately 200 words) should consider the four questions behind our morning discussion:

     1. what stands out to you as being most critical to defining a more virtual Seneca, and

     2. one practical next step you can take to support your teaching practice in a more virtual Seneca.

   • and comment on a key takeaway from one of the afternoon workshops and the impact on your teaching.

4. Indicate whether you wish to share your work.

5. Submit your application.

Claim your badge:

1. Check your email. If you’ve demonstrated all the criteria, you’ll receive a message after a few days from Seneca College via CanCred titled “Claim Your ‘Teaching and Learning Day Fall 2021 badge”.

2. Click on the “Claim your badge” link in the email to send your badge to the eCampusOntario Open Badge Passport.

3. Or click on the “Download this badge as pdf” link in the email to save a signed pdf certificate.

Share your badge:

1. Set up a free eCampusOntario Open Badge Passport account.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to share your badge to social media.
