Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

The three UDL principles are organized vertically by engagement (interacting), representation (accessing) and action/expression (demonstration). Each column has guidelines and checkpoints that increase in complexity, moving towards expert learners. Designing instruction based on the UDL framework increases academic engagement for all students.
