I am studying the environmental adaptation and evolution of organisms, particularly amninotes, based mainly on genomics. My research goal is to understand the environmental history of the earth behind the evolution and diversification of organisms.
Publication: Hidden population turnover of small odontocetes, particularly Pacific white-sided dolphins, in the northwestern North Pacific during the Holocene, was reported in Biology Letters. [a seminar about this paper] [8/January/2025]
Publication: My first ancient DNA paper is out! We reported prehistoric genetic diversity of dolphins hunted by Jomon people ca. 4000 - 5000 years ago in Tokyo Bay. Jomon people hunted mainly Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins and Pacific white-sided dolphins. [18/November/2023]
