TKA's Junior High Math Team is a community of students and coaches who meet twice a week after school to grow together in their math and problem-solving skills. This team provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for junior high students to learn and find community with other students—students who are interested in math competitions, want to challenge their math skills, or simply like math. Students also have the opportunity to compete in various competitions throughout the year, both individually and as a team!
During the school year, the Junior High Math Team meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm. Read more about Math Team practices on the About page.
In the spring, we also host the TKA Math Tournament (TKAMT), a local math tournament for middle school students in grades 6 - 8.
