TitleDriver's Journal window, is a way to record a performance and log the exact time and duration of each title. At the end of a performance, the accumulated entries can be exported in the STL titles interchange format.
This gives the video post-production engineer an easy way to import titles into a video editor, as a starting point for subtitles in a video editing project., without having to re-enter the titles from scratch.
Open the Journal window via the Window menu (or use Command/L menu shortcut). Once the window has been opened it will record each title that is shown, including the fade-up time, the title's in-time and out-time, fade-down time and title number.
At the completion of a performance, click on the "Export" button to export Column A entries as a single STL file, and then optionally export Column B entries as a single STL file. When quitting TitleDriver if there are unsaved Journal entries, the export dialogs will be presented to remind you to perform the export operation.
You may select any number of Journal entries and delete them using the delete key.
The Journal window must be invoked, i.e. shown to initialize the Journaling process. Note that once the Journal window has been opened, each and every title you take –including test or setup titles you may use pre-show– will be included in the Journal entries.
