Outside of research, I enjoy combining my love of science, creativity, and sewing through my Etsy shop, Tirzagonia. I design and create handmade bags and other accessories using custom-designed fabrics inspired by scientific imagery and themes, including electron microscopy, diamond anvil cells, and Earth and planetary sciences. 

I has also designed stickers and periodically donate proceeds to organizations that support causes important to me, including Meals on Wheels and organizations that support LGBTQ+ communities in the Chicagoland area. Tirzagonia allows me to merge art, science communication, and philanthropy while sharing my passion for science beyond the laboratory.
