We had the Korean–Swiss Seminar on Quantum Technologies at ETH Zürich, Switzerland. The ambassador for Science and Technology of the Republic of Korea, Shin Sung-Chul, and the Head of the International Relations Division at the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI, Ambassador Jacques Ducrest, lead this Quantum seminar to enhance collaboration between Korean and Swiss Quantum researchers. Prof. Choi attended this meeting as one of representative Quantum researchers in Korea.
(한국과 스위스의 양자기술분야의 협력연구를 발전시키기 위한 세미나가 스위스의 ETH 취리히 대학교에서 열렸습니다. 양국의 과학기술협력 대사님들의 주도로, 한국의 양자기술 대표 연구자들과 스위스측의 대표 연구자들과 공동 세미나를 개최하였고, 협력 연구를 모색하였습니다. 더 나아가, 협력 연구를 위한 각 대표 연구자들간의 MOU를 체결하였습니다.)

Finally, we see Rabi oscillations and Quantum motional sidebands on single Yb171+ qubit using two photon Raman pulse laser with feedforward lock system integrated. Now, we can do individual qubit, quantum motion control, quantum entanglement in a multi-qubit system.
(드디어, 우리 실험실에서 펄스레이저를 이용하여 라비 및 양자운동모드 측정을 성공적으로 하였습니다. 이제, 개별 단일 큐비트 게이트, 양자운동-큐비트간의 얽힘, 큐비트-큐비트간의 양자얽힘을 수행할 수 있는 기본적인 실험셋업을 대부분 완료하였습니다~

We participate an workshop at Danyang resort for Korean trapped ion community. Prof. Taehyun Kim (Seoul National Univ, Computer Science), Prof. Taeyoung Choi (Ewha Womans University, Physics), Prof. Moonjoo Lee (POSTECH, EE), Prof. Junki Kim (Sungkunkwan Univ, Nano Engineering), all undergraduates, and graduates from each group get together to discuss current status and future plan toward developing the trapped-ion based Quantum Computer.

Ewha Science Festival for middle and high school students took place at Ewha Natural Science College and Prof. Taeyoung Choi gave a talk about "Quantum entanglement and Technology" (2022 Nobel prize Physics)

(최태영 교수팀, ‘양자기술협력사업’ 양자컴퓨팅 분야 선정. 이온 포획 기반의 양자컴퓨터 개발을 세계적으로 선도하고 있는 미국의 듀크대학교와 5년간 협력연구를 진행할 예정입니다. 이 프로젝트를 통해서 본교 학생들이 듀크대학교에 파견되어서 미국 현지에서 진행되는 최고 수준의 양자컴퓨팅 노하우를 배울 수 있게 되었습니다.)
