Meeting with Doc

Upon arrival and before starting our interventions, we had a meeting with our preceptor, Doc Ruhida. She guided us and gave some advice on how to approach the community with our interventions.

Explained to them what our objectives for this exposure.

Water source ecomaping

We did house to house visit to check water resources and label their level.

Health Education Fair

For 3 days, we did a Health education fair to educate the community about Hypertension and the importance of being compliant with the medications, another topic was about responsible pet ownership and animal bite. We invited speakers from the RHU and Municipal of Agriculture. In the same days after the programs, we also conducted a profiling to Yakap for the Salinding community. They were registered in the Siay RHU inorder for them to access free check ups, medications, and other benefits offered.

One big challege

We experienced the flood during our stay, the water was estimated at waistline level. Thankfully, the water didn't reach our house since it was elevated.
