Tim Oosterwijk
Currently I’m an assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Previously I worked at Maastricht University, the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, and Universidad de Chile.
My main research areas are algorithmic game theory, algorithmic mechanism design, and approximation algorithms. Over the past years, I focused mostly on flows over time and optimal stopping problems. My research is fundamental in nature, but is driven by problems observed in practice that suffer from a lack of coordination or resource limitations.
I organize the Opera Seminar of the Operations Analytics department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and I am part of the organizational committee of the Dutch Seminar on Optimization.
I am a member of Beta, Diamant, Gesellschaft für Operations Research and Landelijk Netwerk Mathematische Besliskunde.
Please do not hesitate to contact me using my details below in case of any questions or remarks. I would also be very happy to send you a copy of any research article for free.
