Disclosure
Next to my academic activities, I engage in consulting activities at Oxera.
This simultaneous involvement gives me experiences and insights that I hope enhance my academic work. Also, my academic work and university teaching responsibilities help me stay up to date with the latest academic developments, which supports my consulting activities.
To ensure integrity in the research process, I conduct my academic research in accordance with the principles described in the Code of Conduct for Academic and Scientific Integrity of Utrecht University and the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (relating to honesty, scrupulousness, transparency, independence, and responsibility).
In particular:
My academic work is undertaken in a personal capacity.
I disclosure any financial contributions to my academic work or any editorial control given to others.
I disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from my consulting activities and project work in relation to my academic work.
To promote objectivity, I aim to subject my academic work to peer review (publication and dissemination of preliminary versions of my work as public working papers for comments, presentation at conferences and academic workshops, submission to peer-reviewed academic journals).
