PhD Competition Economics, University of Amsterdam

2016 - 2020

In my doctoral research I used theoretical, empirical and computational methods to look at novel competition policy concerns in digital and financial markets. See here for all publicly available working papers. I have been supervised by prof. dr. Maarten Pieter Schinkel.

I have presented my research at many academic conferences and have attended several academic summer schools and workshops, including the EASSS 2018 in Machine Learning (Maastricht, Netherlands), CRESSE Summer School 2018 in Competition Policy (Crete, Greece), AU Summer School 2019 course in Statistical Learning with Python (Aarhus, Denmark) and the NBER Young Scholars Workshop 2019 on the Economics of Artificial Intelligence (Toronto, Canada).

Two-year Research Master’s degree, with a specialisation in Industrial Organisation and Finance. The Tinbergen Institute is the joint institute for research and education in Economics, Econometrics and Finance of the University of Amsterdam, the VU University Amsterdam and Erasmus Rotterdam.

Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business, with a minor in Law and Economics. Extracurricular activities included being council member in the faculty and central student council, organising and participating in a four-week consultancy project to Brazil and coordinating a study trip to Greece.
