Information for prospective Master and PhD students
Information for prospective Master and PhD students
If you are interested in becoming a Master's student with me as director and you are enrolled at Solvay, please take careful note of the following items:
1. I only accept students writing in the theory-based view, simply as this is a wonderful up-and-coming paradigm and I can really help to make the theses great! That implies that I don't accept theses which are based on literature review or standard statistical data analysis. For this, other advisors are much better.
2. If you wish to apply, you need to participate in one colloquium as a guest to get a feeling if the theory-based view is attractive to you. If yes, you need to pass a short entry exam (I will send you an email and ask you to write one page).
I am in the process of getting funds to finance one PhD student – if you are good in mathematics and passionate about the topics on these pages, and looking for a PhD position, you are welcome to participate in the colloquium! I will then inform you once I have the funds and a call for applications is open. If you are exceptionally good, I may find ways to finance you quickly. One-page applications are always welcome.
