Enterprise for Youth
Enterprise for Youth is a non-profit organization that empowers youth through their career development and job readiness programs. In the fall of 2022, I joined the Enterprise for Youth team as an intern in their Communications department to learn more about marketing, design, and how the organization carries out its mission. As an intern, I was regularly tasked with designing social media graphics, writing original copy, and photographing events.

Giving Tuesday is an annual campaign held by Enterprise for Youth to promote and uplift Bay Area youth, while also encouraging local businesses and companies to support the non-profit organization. I was given the opportunity to design and copy-write for their 2023 social media graphics, promoting the campaign through LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Enterprise for Youth
Motivational Monday was a weekly campaign that I designed to help Bay Area youth kickstart their week. Each Monday morning, a Motivation Monday would be posted, featuring a quote or advice from an alumni intern. As the Communications Intern, I was given the opportunity to design, copywrite, and schedule each post, every week, for one month.

Enterprise for Youth is a central employment resource, where youth learn job-readiness skills and soft skills — and practice those skills in supportive, paid internships. If you are joining or thinking about joining an Enterprise program this year, here is some advice to keep in mind!
Youth Council is a year-long leadership development internship. Youth Councilors hone personal and professional skills through attending workshops, planning events, representing Enterprise at events, and serving as a youth voice to the staff and board of Enterprise. We sat down with some of the members of the Youth Council to hear about their journey with Enterprise.
It’s not often we get the opportunity to try something new outside our career focus. Jasmine Gong got to push herself outside her comfort zone in her internship with Jenny Lemons in the Fall of 2022.
