Acrylic on Mirror

Should a person be reflected in a mirror as it breaks, their soul is said to be damaged/corrupted for seven years until the soul regenerates.

That is unless the mirror is: 

1) Submerged in a south-flowing river for seven hours; 

2) Ground into a fine dust so it can't reflect anything anymore; or 

3) Buried deep in the ground.
