Biography 

Dr. Ching-Ho Tien is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tunghai University and the principal investigator of the Semiconductor Optoelectronics and Energy Devices Laboratory, SOED Lab. His research focuses on semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, including solar cells, perovskite optoelectronic devices, LEDs / micro-LEDs, oxide semiconductors, and sensors.

Dr. Tien’s research is centered on a materials–processes–devices–applications framework, integrating thin-film processing, interface engineering, optoelectronic characterization, and device performance analysis. His work aims to develop next-generation optoelectronic, energy, and sensing technologies with improved efficiency, stability, and practical applicability.

In teaching and mentoring, Dr. Tien emphasizes hands-on training, data analysis, and scientific communication. Students in SOED Lab are encouraged to develop comprehensive research capabilities in semiconductor and optoelectronic engineering through device fabrication, measurement analysis, research projects, and scientific writing.

田青禾博士現任東海大學電機工程學系助理教授，並主持半導體光電與能源元件實驗室（SOED Lab）。其研究聚焦於半導體光電材料與元件，涵蓋太陽能電池、鈣鈦礦光電元件、LED / micro-LED、氧化物半導體與感測器等方向。

田博士的研究以「材料—製程—元件—應用」為核心，結合薄膜製程、界面工程、光電量測與元件性能分析，致力於發展具效率、穩定性與應用潛力的次世代光電、能源與感測技術。

在教學與指導方面，田博士重視學生的實作能力、數據分析與研究表達訓練。SOED Lab 鼓勵學生透過元件製作、量測分析、專題研究與論文撰寫，建立完整的半導體與光電工程研究能力。
