Like all OSAA activities, the Tigard High School Speech and Debate Team has a membership fee. The funds are used throughout the year to pay for tournament fees and transporting team members to tournaments if needed. Each tournament that the team competes in has a fee for registering and additional fees for each person competing.
If you are a returning member you need to pay your fee by October third. If you are a new member you allowed to pay your membership fee at any point in the year before you compete at your second tournament. You cannot compete in a second tournament if you have not paid your annual fee. This is so you can try Speech and Debate to see if it is right for you before you make a financial commitment. If you are a member of the Free and Reduced lunch program, or you need support paying for your fee, contact the team's coach for information.
You must pay the fee to the bookkeeper and bring the receipt to the team Treasurer.
