Cast & crew of THS Musicals award winning production of Crazy for You at the CTHSMTA gala.

JESSICA SPILLANE (Artistic Director) is crazy for theatre! This production marks her 15th show at THS. She has also directed musicals for the Trumbull Youth Association and served as the directing mentor for the THeSpians’ 2012 production of ALMOST, MAINE. Jessica is proud to have accompanied THS’s CHSMTA Best Leading Male to the National High School Music Theater Awards in 2011 and to have been selected to attend the “Directing Shakespeare” program at Juilliard in 2012. Her best training, however, has come from over 10 years of working and collaborating with Jerold Goldstein and Frank Root right here at THS. She is thrilled to be once again working with them as well as the dream team of Shannon, Cathy, Matt, MaryJoan, Merial and Jeanette, and our newest young hotshots, Abby & Andrew. When she’s not helping teenagers hone their craft, Jessica can be found teaching English and Drama at THS. As always, her favorite role is “Mom” to Julie Story, Andy & Timo—they continue to be the greatest show on earth for Jessica and her favorite collaborator, Mick. Break legs, y’all!

SHANNON BOLAN (Producer) began her run as producer of the THS musicals five years ago. As someone who wanted to sing on stage from a young age, she never could have imagined how enjoyable it would be to be behind the scenes. Shannon loves (almost) every minute of the high anxiety, high excitement scrambling that producing a show like this one entails. It has been a true pleasure helping the theatre program grow over the years. With each show, the production crew expands and more opportunities are created for students to become involved behind the scenes. She wouldn’t be able to do it all without the amazing production team, creative staff, and supportive parents. Their tireless dedication has been an inspiration. Past production credits include: THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (2009), THE MUSIC MAN (2010), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (2011), and THE WIZ (2012).

CATHY BOLTON (Properties Master) has been working on both props and set dressing for THS since 2007. What started out as a way to connect with her daughters has evolved into a way to share the love of theatre with all these wonderful kids, especially the ones working behind the scenes. With our new theatre, we have a home to experiment, to create and work on projects specific to each show, and most importantly, to show the kids that they are all important contributors, even when they aren’t onstage. Many thanks to all the parents who scour their closets, attics, and basements to help our shows come alive. Past favorites include THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, THE MUSIC MAN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, SEUSSICAL, and ANYTHING GOES.

LARISSA MARK (Stage Manager) is thrilled to return as the stage manager for her fourth show on the Trumbull High stage. Vice President of the THeSpians, she considers herself lucky to have theater as a part of her everyday life. Since the day her brothers roped her into donning the all black uniform of crew, she has been immersed in theater and recently experienced her directorial debut in Trumbull High’s production of ALMOST, MAINE. CRAZY FOR YOU has been a riveting experience full of countless laughs and a couple bruises that she would not trade for the world. Larissa would like to give a special thanks to her assistant Ian Maloney for endlessly refilling her water bottle, the spectacular cast and crew, our producer Mrs. Bolan, and our wonderful director Mrs. Spillane.
