A message from THS Musicals…
We regret to inform you that we are not able to bring our production of Bye Bye Birdie to the stage. We were hoping we would eventually be able to open and to showcase the amazing talent and hard work of the over 100 students involved. Unfortunately, the school year is coming to a close and our priority must be to keep everyone safe and healthy.
We are excited to share the final playbill that would have been distributed to all attendees at each of the performances. It will also be posted on our social media platforms. We are so grateful to all of the individuals and businesses that purchased ad space to support the program. Without them, we would not be able to fund our productions. We also hope to highlight each of the advertisements in the coming weeks on our Facebook (@thsmusicals) and Instagram (@trumbulltheatre) accounts.
Not having been able to perform the show will cause a profound loss of revenue for THS Musicals—leaving us with a deficit that will roll over into next year. The organization is self-sufficient, as we do not receive dedicated, yearly funds from the Board of Education. Our shows are fully funded by ticket sales, student participation fees, sponsorship, and advertising. A major loss in revenue could impact the future of the program. Since we were less than a week away from opening night when schools closed, we had already incurred most of our costs for equipment, rentals, costumes, sets, props, etc. In addition, for every ticket that was purchased, we are still responsible for paying a fee to ShowTix4U. Therefore, for every refund, we will actually lose more revenue.
For anyone who purchased tickets to the show, there are two options.
- You can donate your tickets or a portion of your tickets. Please consider doing so to defray the cost of the fees we will incur during this difficult time.
- You can receive a refund.
If you would like to offer your ticket purchase as a donation, no further action is needed. If you require a partial or full refund and purchased online via credit card, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org with a refund request. If you require a partial or full refund and purchased via cash or check, you can fill out this form with your refund request. If requesting a partial refund, please indicate the number of tickets you would like to donate. If the refund request has not been received by June 15, 2020, we will assume you would like to donate your ticket purchase. Once the event is closed out on that date, we will no longer be able to process refunds.
Whether this was the first time you were coming to see one of our shows or you return year after year, we are grateful for your support. We look forward to the day we can perform for you once again.
