Hello delegates! My name is Lila Salter and I am one of your co-chairs for the Continental Congress Joint Crisis Committee. I am a rising senior at Towson High School and a part of Towson’s Law and Public Policy magnet program. I have been involved in Model UN since my freshman year. MUN has been a great place to practice my critical thinking skills and improve my confidence in speaking publicly. At Towson, I am also involved in Rho Kappa, National English Honor Society, Blood Cancer United, and Key Club. Outside of school, I play guitar in a band and enjoy trying restaurants with my friends.
Yusef and I are excited to see how this committee plays out. We imagine this committee will be just as pivotal and exciting as the real Continental Congress was in 1774. Please reach out with any questions! See you soon!

Hello delegates! I am Yusef Ibrahim and I will be the dias for the Continental Congress Joint Crisis Committee. I am a rising senior at Towson High and a member of the Law and Public Policy (LPP), and have been involved in Model UN since my freshman year. Model UN has helped me tremendously with my self confidence and my public speaking skills. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking and playing video games.
Lila and I are incredibly excited for the committee, and we hope to see an incredibly fun and chaotic Congress. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!

Join us on September 5th, 1774, the first meeting of the First Continental Congress. You have been called to respond to Britain's increasingly restrictive policies, namely, the Intolerable Acts of 1774. Along with several representatives from twelve out of thirteen of the North American colonies, you will be asked to decide what the colonies should do next.
In this time of intense uncertainty, delegates must determine the best way to manage tension with Britain and promote colonial sovereignty: revolution, retribution, reconciliation, bargaining, or something entirely unique.
