THSMUNC is on October 17th

Take the following steps to be as prepared as possible!

Research

• Your background guide is a great place to start when researching! Be sure to review it thoroughly and take notes. 

• BestDelegate.com has a fantastic MUN Research Guide with plenty of sources included. 

• Position papers are always a great way to guide your research into actionable plans. Remember, only delegates who submit a position paper will be eligible for awards. 

• Reach out to your chair! Our staff have spent months researching their committee, and they're always eager to help you. Chair emails can be found in each background guide. 

Dress for Success 

• Dress for THSMUNC as you would for the real United Nations. Western Business Attire is an expectation. 

• Wear professional shoes that you will be comfortable in for the entire day. Expect to be standing for significant periods of time during unmoderated caucuses. 

• DO NOT WEAR hoodies, sweatpants, sneakers, or hats

Bring the Necessities

• PRINTED research on your country or character.

• Notebook

• Pens Post-Its (for passing notes) 

• Water bottle 

• EXCITEMENT! We are eagerly awaiting conference day, and hope you are too!

Do NOT Bring

• Pre-written resolutions, directives, or crisis notes. All writing as such must be done in committee. Bringing pre-written resolutions, directives, or crisis notes is dishonest and will result in disqualification from awards 

• Distracting or inappropriate materials 

• Anything in violation of Baltimore County Public Schools policy.
