How do I get of my pride?

How do I get of my pride? How do I avoid

the temptation of undermining those I am

blessed enough to be more privileged than,

whiles enviously respecting those fortunate

to be more privileged than I am?

Pride is quite expensive, so much it has cost

me. In any area of my life I let my pride get

at me, I lose an important part of me. Why

do I sometimes have the urge to feel superior

than others? Why is all that I see is myself?

Am I the only one in this world to expect a

bed of roses everywhere I turn? How do I

expect to see smiles whilst all I do is frown?

Why do I expect so much when all I give is so

little? Why am I always right and think very

little of others’ point of view?

How can I unlearn to learn how to live humbly

with others, as another human being like me,

who wants the best for me? Do I want to have

what others have, to the extent of wanting

their life? Is silent envy pride?
