Freshwater, estuarine, and marine habitats contain an amazing diversity of flora and fauna that is often hidden from our view. I am an aquatic community ecologist with a research focus on the interaction between native and non-native species within freshwater and marine ecosystems. My interests include community ecology, invasion biology, biogeography, freshwater ecology and conservation biology. To explore these topics, I use a combination of empirical experiments, field surveys, spatial modeling methods, and quantitative techniques.
