As he corners the pair, the Halloween Spirit catches the Slender Engine, as he violated the Halloween tenet of never blowing out a jack-o-lantern, It's unknown what happened to the Slender Engine after that.

The Slender Engine is a black CR Class 812 steam engine with no number, nameplate, or face. He has red buffer beams and red and white lining on his cab and tender. There is a blank, white circle where the face should be with only the vague shape of a nose.
