LIGHTING
Only Skylight Without Additional Lighting
With Additional Lighting
I added more lighting to highlight important areas in the scene as well as brightening up some darker areas that are in shadow. This gives the environment a much warmer and inviting look. I also used a skylight to give the scene its basic light and changed the colour to a yellow to give the scene some warmer look.
ASSETS
All assets rendered in UE4. I used Substance Painter to create all of the textures, and used the UE4 export settings which combine Occlusion, Roughness and Metallic into one texture to save on texture file size.
I created a low poly mesh in Blender, which was then used to create a high poly mesh that I sculpted in Zbrush. Then the high poly mesh was used to bake into the low poly mesh. Next the mesh was textured and imported into UE4 where it was placed into the scene.
WOODEN PLANK
Wooden Plank - 44 Tris, 1024 x 1024, Base Colour, Normal, Oculussion, Roughness and Metallic
Two separate base colours so I could switch the colour of the plank depending on what I needed.
I used this mesh and texture to create other meshes such as the door and crates, to speed up the asset creation process and save on texture sizes (examples bellow).
