I have been swimming scholastically and on a club team for 6 years now. Through this activity I have been able to find simplicity. There is one goal, one idea and one way to get there. You can leave behind the complexities of life and just swim. Pouring your heart and soul into the race. It clears your mind. Swimming is an area where I can use all of my rage, sadness, disgust, and happiness to propel myself through the water. When you focus on one thing, giving it your all, a place is created that transcends consciousness. There is no need for deep thought or worrying, all the issues you may face can just fade away. It is an amazing feeling to let go. To do nothing but work hard towards a goal. However easy it may seem to reach this level of simplicity, It has taught me some of the most fundamental principles of hard work. Nothing comes easy. It is important to work your absolute hardest in order to reach your goals. Only then can you move past the web of life and reach your final destination, success.Â
